Clarrification (Walki Talki)

Please excuse me for opining an old topic ! i have browsed some posts and just got more confused!

I understand it is important to have a walki talki for the trip (been in 2 trips with the club before), also that there are some regulations etc..

if anybody pelase can clarify:

- Is license required for any type / usage ( considering only for offroad trips)? or some types does not require ( e.g. in the "Absolute Newbie offroad instruction" checklist P. 3 mentioned "MOTOROLA") ?
- if required for any type / usge, how to obtain? can the club assist?
- can the devise be purchased from the market (anywhere)? or there are authorised dealer can be recomended? what specifications?

Yes defiantly you need a license to use radios !!!!!

Join one of our trips, introduce yourself to the other members, and all your questions will be answered in the spot at any trip.

Can i use walki talki without license in UAE?
-NO you CANT! (legally)

I have seen people use walki talki in desert, do they all have license?
- No not all of them have license, yet some do

So are they breaking the telecom law?
-Technically YES. (but there is a nuance...)
