The new Garmin Map us now available

No the map is the same for all Garmin GPSs

Great! I checked the Garmin site, but its quite expensive to buy it there. It will be fun for me to have it before we start the exploring trips. At the moment my GPS only flies.

Ok, now I visited Amit today ... Tried to bargain for the club, but unfortunatily, the guy said it is a fixed price of AED 600 for the new map. Those who bought their maps after May 2007 will have a free update

I totally failed today to get the updated map for free despite the fact that i had it mentioned on my bill that the first update will be for free. I had a big argument with the guy to the extent that i told him that he lies to clients

Then i called the headoffice and complained while standing there. One manager talked to me and asked me to send the GPS to the headoffice in Dubai for free installation 8) 8)

So is that Normal to get the update for free in Dubai or just because you were fighting?

No because i was shouting.

I called the headoffice from my mobile and a Manager (local guy) talked to me. They told me to either bring it to Dubai or leave the GPS in AD for one week and they will send it to Dubai.
