I was in Amit Trading last Saturday, they told me that the new Map for Gamin is available now

I will go to him this Saturday to get a special rate for AD4x4 members to download the new map

One more tip, for those who purchased their GPS from AMIT during the year, might be able to upload the new map for free. For me, uploading the 2007 map for free was part of the deal. I think HISO also had the same deal 8) 8)

You are right Diver; I bought my JPS on March this year from AMIT & I did uploaded the new version (V4) for free few days ago, but I had to argue with the merchant :hit: as he asked for AED 600/- charges at the beginning, although the free upgrade was a part of the deal at the purchase time. So be careful in your approach.

No big deal Diver, only slight changes with the saved information; as an example, Al Khetm route now is leading to Musafah area

& Swaihan route will take you to Omani boarders

Now seriously; all routs remained and saved with no changes after the upgrading. But as I told you be ready for the argument.

I have checked with Garmin web site and you can upload the midle east map without a problem and it will work. Buying locally is cheaper than from the USA.

Most of us are using 276C; sure you can buy the software if you like to.
