:iagree: with all above,
i have been on many a trip as passenger and twice driving myself, and if it was not for the instructions and safety that is explained then where would we all be, i am greatful for all that i have learnt so far as a passenger and as a driver,:thankyou:

me and my family look forward to our day out in the sand, so we can meet new people and enjoy the company of the people we already know, it is nice to sit and chat and talk about your trip and get encouragement from the other members and have a joke and laugh about the stucks for the day,

:together:

so as far as i can see this is a great club to belong to and everyone is friendly and unique,
i am glad my hubby found AD4x4, otherwise we would be cranky and stressed all the time.:hit:

again thanxs to all the committee and marshals etc for the time that they give up to help us all learn and enjoy the sand, :ad4x4:

What makes AD4x4 so unique is the fact that there is a grading system - not for the *'s to be worn like badges of honour, but so that trips can be graded thus allowing everyone to enjoy trips within their driving capabilites.
I hovered around the site for a long time before taking the plunge to actually join a trip - I wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to go on a desert adventure with a bunch of 'boy-racers' who had no regard for safety. Happily I found out that this was not the case.
The fact that the marshals have families and other commitments and still find time to run the trips on a never-ending regular basis with open arms to all newcomers, with free help and guidance on how to improve in a safe environment - and have fun at the same time :D - is what makes this club so great.

A 'No Instruction/Rules Trip' - No Thankyou! I enjoy my trips knowing that I will go home safe and sound because of the instructions and rules.

Guys you are doing more than a great job - THANK YOU!

Jax

Well said iguana… from my side I will say that I learned lots of offroading safety rules here in AD4x4 club. Special thanx for marshals who helped and Teached me when I started as a newbie.

When ever we travel by plan or boat we must follow health and safety rules.
Grading system is very important cuz it is made for our safety.
because we drive in the desert there it’s not public straight roads and a small mistake could cause an accident / injury or death.

As mike mention The Dark side is not easy as we though, we must organize every thinks selecting good way points and creating a route with emergency way out … then sms sending ,receiving phone calls any time and must see that every body is following you safely.

Those who complain are entitled to their own opinions, but on the other hand they should also show more appreciation to what benefits they have gained from being with the club.

I joined the club not to collect stars, but to learn how to properly drive off-road and have fun with a bunch of happy and friendly people.

I don’t mind listening to instructions from trip leaders and Marshals, it only shows they care for my safety.

So thank you Iguana and all Marshals etc. for taking care of us, teaching us and keeping the club alive.

I actually have a huge complaint...Its been bugging me for nearly half a year now.. and it really upsets me :(

There is no freaking desert in south africa!!!!! Where is the AD4x4 worldwide?
Yes there is desert here but its really far away and its not the same... so here is the solution, we get all 1000 members to fly down here and everybody brings a bag of liwa sand with them.... :D

But otherwise, awesome job. Cant wait for my next trip =) And I think one of the most important things is that we learn through mistakes and if nobody shows us the mistakes we can not learn....Yes father I just said that =) I miss the desert....

Cheers,

Steven
