ARB Snatch straps

As there are no snatch straps at all available in UAE, I called ARB today, they said the next order is expected after 2.5 months which is after the season is finished.

I am currently communicating with one company in USA to get a price for 30 peices of ARB Snatch Straps (24,000 LB / 11,000 KG).

They qouted me AED 261 without shipping. Cost of shipping will be sent to me today or tomorrow.

Is any body interested?

By the way the snatch straps are the tow ropes.

I tried the following in Abu Dhabi & Dubai and was not available:

Offroad Zone

If you are interested please book your rope now.

Booking have to be confirmed by payment after I get the total cost.

Iguana...go to the port , where they fix the boats...check there if someone is willing to make a few ropes for u.
my dad had some done about 12-13 years ago...he still his today.

they are if u choose the right ones.
they're the same type that they use to moore the boats.
they are elastic.usually called kinetic ropes.
ask price per metre & price per rope including "splicing" (making the loops)
price per metre should usually be around 12-15dhs for a good thickness.

I have tried down Meena port around all the marine supply shops for the NYLON type rope which gives the nesessary stretch required for our purposes. However all they had was the Polypropylene type which although it had the desired pull rating it does not offer the stretch factor. Asking about, most people I asked suggested Jaddaf in Dubai as a possible source for the nylon rope. This was a couple of years ago so things may have changed since then.

Iguana, did you get my SMS response to confirm my interest in the ARB rope? Let me know when and where to settle up if you have any spare on the order. thanks.

Jaddaf has places.
but if ur in dubai , might as well drop in at Robbie's Garage in Al Quoz.He has them ready in stock..cant remember how much they were.
