There is nothing called an offroad license, there is a permission to toursit offroad drivers to take passengers in their cars with the tourist company ... So actually, it is a permission to be a taxi driver in the desert

There actually is an off road license or certification, at least there was until last year. You could go to the RTA and get the drivers courses for it just like you would a normal driving license, but from what I heard it was VERY basic, and useless because if you wanted to work for a Desert Safari company you had to get a different kind of license, also if you wanted to do the course in your own car you had to get a roll bar installed.

These are 2 of Driving schools in dubai that do it.

But as everyone has already said this is in no way needed, dont wast your time or your money! Abu Dhabi 4x4 will do a better job training you, and you will have more fun this was.

By the way, Sweet ride man :D :!:

Though not needed, it indeed seems to exist.

check the RTA.ae website and there is something mentioned about a desert driving license
