NEED YOUR ADVICE - Low Profile Tires

Post by Nahhash »

Hi Everybody,
I've joined 3 of your trips as a passanger with my freind "White Prado" and decided to start offroading. Thinking of joining immediatly with my "Range Rover Sport" car but a bit confused of its hight and the performance of "low profile tires" in desert.
May you advise please?

My 2 fils, do not take this car offroad, its not worth the headache that it may create. Just killing one bumper can cost you half of the price of the TJ's put on sale from Jeep. Be wise and think twice ....

But this is only my personal point of view ...

Welcome to the club as an active member and not only a passenger :) :)

If I were in your shoes, I will save the Rover for highway and city use and get myself a desert toy, for example Jeep Wrangler, SWB Nissan, Prado etc based on the budget and how far you plan to go on offroading.

The low profile tires on any 4x4 will give you hard time on soft sand as they are not meant for that.
Did 650 Off Road trips so far (26- Jun-2022) and counting

If you haven't been to LIWA, you haven't seen the desert yet......Dare you follow me? !!!!

And if you haven't seen Jeeping in Moab, you don't know what you're missing.

Never settle for less....

nothing to add more than my marshall uncles!

Range rover is a great car, but not fit for sand... buy a small funny stuff just for the desert! you won't regret!

and welcome!

Guys, please do not forget a broom, gloves and shovel when you follow a Dodge, you will need to collect the parts falling off this "monster" as we need to leave the desert clean behind us

Monster in what desert??? You must be refering to the tar roads leading through the desert. Those toys you refer to are gonna make you cry my friend. What you will notice - Jeepers do all there talking in the sand :D  :D

Here we go again... :P

Before it was Nissan or Heeps... and now we have Rams...

You Heep drivers never learn. Bigger IS better. Plus you need us to pull you out of trouble and to be your refueling station in the middle of nowhere. Careful... those horns hurt...

Welcome to the club, and hope to see you as a driver shortly.

Now for the Range Rover, you can take it to the desert, ifyou have the money to fix it

I agree with my fellow members, buy your self a toy and enjoy the desert more ... I wouldn't recommend a Wranglr, you are driving Range Rover, and shifting to a Wrangler, you will hate yourself   and hate us as well
