There is also a range of jewelry (for men and women) which has the international sign for medical help and spaces to write your medical information and history. For example I suffer from a lot of medicine related allergies and these would be listed (I would also get them translated into Arabic) for the emergency services.

Another way is to put the word 'ICE' in your mobile (IN CASE OF EMERGENCY) which we would all recognise - under this you list all the numbers of next-of-kin etc who may need to be contacted.

At the end of the day you can't take too many precautions.

Must be something wrong with me, I dont get it?

Whats the point of the blood group on the vehicle really, an accident serious enough to warrant a blood transfusion isnt gonna be done in the field surely, and stocks of blood aren't carried by paramedics. If they need to, they'll poor plasma in to prevent someone going into shock through blood loss.

I get the whole thing about advising prior medical conditions, allergies etc through medic alert bracelets and the like - but blood groups on our car?

Military boys have blood group on their dog tags, that makes sense to me...but if the door of my wagon accompanies me to the hospital, then I reckon it might be a bit late for a blood top up!!

Furthermore, this forum will help creating a donors list, ready to be used in time of need. Another act of solidarity between family members.

No worries for me... just stick the fuel line from my jeep into my veins... i run on special

Anyway... not sure about the necessity of knowing each others blood type... but i do think it a good idea if the club management had a register of Emergency Contact numbers for each participating member... Just a thought
