Surprise Advanced Trip Report

Post by Mozi »

I bet you guys are all asleep!. I went back home and cooked my self a dinner and poured some vino.

It was an awesome and challenging adventure... Loved the team work, the adrenaline, the driving.

Thanks Khaiwi for handling so many vehicles. Big responsibility today. Thanks Abo Omar for a smooth involvement as always.

Tamraz, I enjoyed driving with you in a two car convoy the last hour or so, high speed, non-stop and just Blazing....

One thing I missed on this trip, is the driving with Group 1 as well...

I still think these reports should be available for all to see. I hope Mega will put this thread in public domain.

Back to my vino; peace out.

Mozi

Would like to thank you all guys for the lovely company and demonstration of great driving skills. You all rock and prove time and again the family spirit in the club and the friendly (cool) attitude.

A total of 12 cars met at the petrol station (One did not show up). At the deflation point the groups were split and briefing was given then the FUN started.

Things went fine as per the plan till the lunch break when Ivan had to leave due to some mechanical problem. Later in the afternoon three members from group 2 joined us, made some change in the plan as sunset was very close. Generally, the drive was kind of lazy after the lunch break we had to find the nearest exit track especially when the dark hit the area and inspite of the spot lights we decorate our trucks with it's extremely dangerous to drive at night in LIWA.

Around 7 pm we were all on the way out to the nearest petrol station to refuel freshen up and head back home safe and sound.

During the trip we had several stucks, cresting, tire pop-outs and some tricky recovery challenges, mind you, this is one of the advanced offroad trips for the adventurous members and not for the lighthearted or newbies. I will post my pics very soon.

Look forward to see you on next Advanced LIWA trip overnighter 19-20th Jan (take it while the weather allows LIWA trips)

Firstly Khaiwi and AD4x4, a big thanks for putting this together. An absolutely amazing trip with you all, Tamraz and Omar were instrumental in their choice of route through the challenges of Liwa in our group considering they were escorting the "heavyweights". And then we split, sorry guys my fault  Picked up on the wrong set of tyre tracks after lunch.

Mozi, Ghanem a pleasure driving with you, good driving all round, no doubt see you out there again soon.

The night drive was an experience, I often wonder how you guys choose a suitable track in the daylight but in the dark, true skills.
And of course, Bulldozer for the coffee at the gas station once we were out, I needed it for that long drive home.

Again, Thanks to all.

It was my ( and my Patrol ) first experience flying over the dunes , the cooling water came out of the radiator when I’ve noticed the steam

Khaiwi , my front bumper guard that looks like net went home safe with no dents on it , can you believe it
