Greetings from a Abu Dhabi newbie,
I have been relocated here and I am looking to buy a 2009/2010 double cab hilux for offroading and day to day use.
I have carried out the usual searches on the internet but with little success. Do any members have suggestions as to reliable second hand dealers who stock this type of vehicle.
Many Thanks
James

Hi Antrax,
Thank you for the welcome and thank you for the information,
I shall do some more research this week and may have to move onto plan B................ it would explain why pickups are so hard to find here.
Cheers

Hi James, guess you are South African. Only these guys are looking for baggies
It is like Antrax said, as non-emirate it is not possible to get a pick-up registered under your name unless it is not something absolutely obvious you will not start a transportation business (i.e. one of these useless yankee trucks).
I recommend you go for a good 2nd hand SWB Nissan Patrol or buy a new XTerra (it has the same driving characteristics like the baggies).
Good Luck and see you out there...

Hi Mpenzi,
Thanks for the offer but the Landcruiser is too much motor for me.
Also thanks for the offer to go buiying a hilux but it seems as an Expat I am not allowed that particular toy.
If you need any help with your Green Machine give me a shout.
Cheers

Hey Mpenzi,
I can't open the pictures but I am guessing from the Arctic trucks reference you are after something like Top Gear took to the pole.
The offer stands, I have done similar jobs to fit 33's and 35's in a meaningful way so that everything actually works and doesn't self destruct when you try to use it offroad.
If you want to get together over a drink and draw some pictures I am free every evening.
Cheers
