Replacement snatch strap

Hi all,

As I recently discovered one should never accept as gospel that kit returned from a friend is still in the shape you gave it to them. My snatch strap was used with a knot in it and subsequently has dug in and weakened it. Where could I buy a replacement strap without having to buy a whole kit? Any recommendations for online?

ARB in Mussafah. Best strap ever.

Cheers Xof, I'll pick one up in a day or two when I pick up my baby after it has what will hopefully only be a crank sensor replacement. I've been reading about it online and seems to look like the problem. Hopefully the clicking noise was related too.

I had both ARB and Bushranger. The ARB is way much better. It takes the pull impact nicely with less stress on both cars. That's what I felt using both.

I have a bushranger but not used it yet (phew) and wonder is it likely to cause any damage or is it just not quite as good as ARB but still a good strap. cheers.

I am using the bushranger strap since day 1. It is less elastic than the ARB but strong and overall a good snatch strap.

You can find lots of useful information in that link:

Saw a bushranger strap ripping ... ( 8 tons ) if you make heavy use of them ( sweeping each week ) throw them away after 1 year.

I used a Bush Ranger 8 tons for the first 2 years, had no problem with it until a guy used it on his bumper hook, and it got damaged by the hook. Seized the opportunity to change it for an ARB, love it. A bit pricier, but money very well spent.

I thought that each has check boxes to mark each use and as such has a lifespan of uses too?

I am using the Master Pull Super Yanker rope ... This is the best rope in the world ... Might be a bit expensive (AED 650), but it's the lightest, strongest and long living rope .. I had it for 3 years now and still looks like new
