Looking for Geolander A/T tires or other similar brand

Hi all,
I'm looking for a pair of Yokohama Geolander A/T size 245/65R17 for our 2003 Nissan Pathfinder. It seems this size is hard to find (and we seem to be destroying them before they're even broken in) We're thinking of changing to a different rim size (R16) - any recommendations are great. Also, we spend most of our time in the wadis and mountain tracks....maybe only 10 - 15 % of time on sand.
Would love to hear from all you tire experts out there...and if you know a good shop in Dubai / Sharjah / Ajman that CARRIES the Geolander (or maybe Cooper) or some other tire you recommend, please let me know.
We're hoping to get to Oman this weekend...but our tire situation might be squashing our plans.
