Guys,

I'm ordering performance kit and skid plate for my FJ.

Any recommendations?

The shipping cost only is around $1000, is this normal or too expensive?

Regards
Braveheart

Gday Braveheart

What setup are you planning to order? After alot od research I'm close to pulling the trigger on a set of skids from Rasta. Theirs is an all aluminium set that hits the scales at 38kg, so big advantage over steel there. We dont need steel for our driving as there is not much rock crawling to be done in the sand dunes! It also has intakes for transmission cooling, which alot of the others dont have or make a token effort to deal with.

Have a looksee here if you want.. http://www.rasta4x4usa.com/skidplates.a ... 20cruiser2
heres a report... http://www.rasta4x4usa.com/TYFJ10Story.pdf

If you are interested maybe we can look at a joint order to save a bit on delivery costs?

Re performance kit, what exactly are you looking at - CAI, catback. chip, tbs, supercharger? Or a K&N sticker on the back window!!

pm me if you wish so we dont hijack this thread, i seem to be a thread killer these days!

Sorry guys, but I'm kinda new and was wondering what's the benefits of ordering together rather than individually. And how long does it take for the order to arrive?

Well the benefits ar that you will share the shipping cost. Even though the package gets heavier and more expensive to ship it will be less money for each of the person involved.
Delivery time all depends on what shipping method you choose. Everything from a few days to a few weeks.
