i saw both the cars for david..

1st one is a clean car - inside / outside
needs minor work on the suspension.. but doesnt matter anyway's it needs to be lifted..
there is a noise from rear when you turn full left to full right..
gear shifting - good
i compared to my xj and felt this one's drive feels bit heavy..

the guy kept selling features of his music system than the car

he is giving the comp insurance / dubai parking card ... but the price tag of 35k looks on the higher side.\\\

overall a good clean XJ.

OK, walked through my area, actually here are plenty of such models around, counted 12, but only one for sale, but definately not a clean one sorry dear ....

Hi Mike, thanks anyway mate. I'll just keep looking. One will turn up. I was going to head up to Shajah and have a look through the dealers as well. I have been warned though I should only get a manual from a dealer as they can make the auto sound very nice indeed.

Dave there is no need to rush things, just wait and you will find a good one.....

If you want to check if the Diff is ok on an automatic car then turn the engine on, put your foot on the brake, switch gear slow from P to R and than to D and reverse. If you hear a knocking sound than it might be that something with the Diff or crossjoints are not ok.

In general i would not look for one at the Sharjah Dealers. You probably pay more and get less only for the advantage that the car is on display and easy to get.

Take one from private or a dealer which you know, if possible.

Sometime back I went Jeep hunting and I came across this one Cherooke which had the mods done and the guys was giving away lots of extras like 3 sets of wheels/tires including the one on it, lift kit, borla exhausts, etc. He was asking close to 30K.
I dont know if he has sold it but if can try calling him on 050-6414275.
