no way is it factory fitted.

Nissan doesnt make a 5 litre engine to the best of my knowledge...the only 5 litre is the 5.6 317bhp-producing thumping V8 babyyyy
Titan & Armada use it...
no way 5ooo ccm engine in badrol...mafee...only 4.8l straight 6.

yknow , u can prob go and by special order have a 4.8 put into a SWB patrol...it'll cost u around 168.000 dhs...worth it!

Well as I said the car belongs to a friend. But here is the info I have:

5.0 Litter original Nissan V8 engine installed by the factory, the car was a special order by one of Dubai shaiks so you can imagine how loaded it is from the inside.

I know It was surprised when I saw it. As for the HP I have no idea but I can tell you that it has one hell of a kick and I think the top speed is 215 KM/H

My friend is getting different quotes from the second hand car dealers in dubai. Who ever is really interested just IM me and I will give you his mobile for setting up a meeting to see the car. (dubai only).

original nissan engines that are V8's :

-the Y40 which is a 4 litre 195 bhp engine produced between 1965 &1973
-the Y44 , 4.4 litre carby-200bhp.
-the VH45DE- 4.5 liter V8 for Infiniti Q45-278bhp.
(info from Wikipedia):The 4.5 L VH45DE featured variable valve timing, also known as VTC, from 1990 until 1995. Due to tightening emissions regulations in the US market, the VTC feature was dropped from the 1996 Infiniti Q45. In the following year, the VH45DE was no longer available in any US market vehicles. The engine continued on in the Japanese market until 2002 in the Nissan President limousine.
-The 4.1 L VH41DE was used in the following vehicles:

1997-2001 Infiniti Q45, 267 hp, 278 lb-ft
1992-1993 Nissan Leopard, 270 hp 370,69 nm

-The 4.5 L (4494 cc) VK45DE was introduced in 2002,
This engine is used in the following vehicles:

2002-2004 Infiniti Q45, 340 hp
2004- Infiniti FX45, 315 hp
2003-2004 Infiniti M45, 335 hp
2004- Nissan Fuga , 333 hp

-The 4.5 L VK45DD , rated at 365 hp in the Middle East market.
This engine is used in the following vehicles:

2002-2004 Nissan Cima (Japan)
2004- Nissan President
2004- Nissan Cima

-The VK56DE is a 5.6 L (5552 cc) version built in Decherd, TN.
Nissan Armada, 317hp (2007 model year)
Nissan Titan, 317hp (2007 model year)
Infiniti QX56, 315hp

Best i could come up with is this one :
The 4.5 L VQ45DETT is a twin-turbocharged version of the VQ. It is the brand new, never been used before engine rumored to be in the 2008 Nissan GTR, although nothing has been said for sure. It is speculated to make 450 hp at the flywheel, and have the power and durability of an RB while the reliability and smoothness of the VQ. Cosworth is behind the engineering of this engine.

-The 3.7 L VQ37DETT is the same twin-turbocharged one..except this one is rumoured to produce 600bhp.

Couldnt find a single 5.0 litre V8 engine produced by Nissan...ever..and i really looked...i couldnt find a 5.0 litre 6 cylinder either...either 4.0 , 4.1 , 4.2 , 4.5 , 4.8 , 5.6.

its annoying me that i cant find this engine...does ur friend have more details..im genuinely interested...new toys
possible future plans after uni...LS1 or LS6 engine in something light... always wanted a V8!

the rough facts i knew..like that nissan didnt make a 5.0 V8 & the 4.5 V8's in the Infinitis and the 5.6's in the armada's , titans , infinit qx56..and that they make the 4.0 , 4.1 , 4.2 , 4.5 , 4.8 , 5.6..
and those lovely VQ engines that will hopefully be in the new skyline GTR...wow...those engine's are bad @$$! the 3.7 , rumoured at 600bhp with twin-turbo's...wait til the freaks start adding NOS ,upgrading camshaft , rockers & the works to it...sexy...
hopefully one day i'll know how to do that kinda stuff without having to ask ppl for help!
