2013 Season Opening Party

The party planning team is happy to announce the details for the 2013 Season Opening Party. We are making this year's party a celebration of fun and community in AD4x4. Get ready for a nice barbeque with lots of festivities.

When: Friday, November 8, 2013. Festivities begin at 4pm til 10 or 11.

Where: Phoenix Camp, Al Khatim

Who: Members and non-members welcome. Bring friends, family, and new off-roaders.

Dinner: BBQ dinner menu with salads, sides, meats, fish, and so much dessert!

What else? camp fun including henna, sheesha, and camel rides

But what about for the kids?
We will have plenty of space in the camp for kids to play near to parent supervision, as well as two jumpy castles and other things for them to enjoy.

What about camping to follow the party?
The party will go until 10 or 11pm, but ... there will be camping to follow! Camping is no additional cost. No food is provided, however we will have a giant bonfire. The camping will take place outside of the camp, so no camp facilities will be available (bathrooms). You can bring your tent, chairs, icebox. The more the merrier, please join! We will drive 5-10 minutes from the camp to the camping location. You can also stay late into the night without camping if you just want to enjoy the bonfire.

Trips that day lead by the lovely marshals and explorers. Those trips will be posted starting this week, so sign up early! The trips will finish at the party location.

- Come directly to the camp on your own (only in 4x4... GPS coordinates will be provided, it's just a minute off the paved road).

How do you sign up?
We do not give tickets. We have a list of names on the day of the party. To get your name on the list.....
- Give a marshal or explorer payment with your name/nickname during a trip. They will submit the money and your name.
- Come to an AD4x4 social night, usually on Wednesdays. Pay directly to Abdoush, Zeer, or Audrey.
- Send me (ritter) a PM and we can arrange to meet up.

COST:
Age 13 to adult = 125dhs.
kids up to age 13 = free (but you must indicate how many kids for planning purposes)

Sorry Abu Jasim, the trips in this day is only for the members who will end up in the party area. Normally, the trip leaders have to ensure that all his trip members are out from the desert, inflated their tires and are back safe on the road. In this day, the trips will end up in the party area, so no Marshal will have the time to take you out to the road untill the party is finished.
