I would like to thank my director, my producer, film crew, my leading lady (Mrs DeputyDawg), my faithful steed (Frankenstein). Oh wait, this isn’t the Oscars…
As a youngster, I was always involved with cars including a season of road rallies in 86 and followed by some stage rallying. In 87/88 I rebuilt a Group 1 RS2000 from shell and took it to track days at Castle Combe, Goodwood , Donnington etc. Then in 93 I went overseas and auto activities ceased.
Skip forward to Abu Dhabi and this time last year I was getting fed up in Abu Dhabi as the weekends passed having achieved nothing except having eaten/watched TV..I was thinking about moving on.
That is when I joined AD4x4 and bought Frankenstein. It has turned out to be a great move and the weekends are now always memorable: drive on Friday, mend on Saturday, post on Sunday.
AD4x4 is truly a great club: well run and great people. Long live AD4x4.
