i think we should add "members to read the forums, all informations are there... "

IMPORTANT NOTE: 3 trips minimum does not mean after 3 trips... it will be when marshals believe it is safe for you to go for more advance driving due to your skills improvment.

guys, stop asking, just join us, and you will not even notice time has past before you get your upgrade...

another advice? Frank is right, the more marshals you meet the easier it is for you to be upgrade as we are only voting for people we have seen driving recently.

the upgrade topics are also not easy for us Marshal's, here is what the suggesting Marshal has to make sure before recommending a Newbie Member going Intermediate and you can see also that he needs 3 Marshal to confirm and approve. Please do not push us to much, we are already pushed alot otherwise

The Qualities required for the UPGRADE from NEWBIE * to INTERMEDIATE **
- Demonstrating confident, competent and safe driving at Newbie level showing that they are capable of entering Intermediate trips
- A typical Intermediate trip will be faster paced and include slightly more challenging routes. Being able to drive against the dunes, side-slope (not for play) and side-crest are generally incorporated in these trips.

The Equipments required if a member wishes to be upgraded:
- A rated snatch strap (kinetic type)
- 2 Rated Shackles
- Shovel
- Air compressor
- Base plate for jacking vehicle
- First aid kit
- Fire extinguisher
- Flag pole including flag
- Communication device

OTHER CONDITIONS REQUIRED FOR THE UPGRADE:
-YEARLY CONTRIBUTION PAID: min. AED 300.00* (once for the whole year)
- 4 Marshals to vote Yes.

No worries, its OK to ask, we are all family. I promise you :

1. You are not the last to ask for upgrade, it happens all the time
2. Upgrades fall from the sky when you least expect it, but once you have it you know you well deserved it
3. 98% of all trips are Newbie and Intermediate anyway, do not bother too much going advanced later on and
4. just do as you said, enjoy with us, no matter which level, all drives are fun

It's interesting hearing different opinions from different marshals, some say no need to ask, it will come on it's pace, and some would tell you how would we know if you don't ask

I guess this subject depends on each marshal's preference, and since our club is getting bigger and bigger, the preference range is widening more and more

Anyhow, for the guys got upgraded or about to...congratulations
For those who didn't...it will come sooner or later

For everyone...enjoy the sand and the nice company, believe me you'll drive better if you think this way which makes your upgrade closer

Its not that complicated or difficult just look for the newbies things in thier forum and every level related topincs in the respcted forum, technicla discussions there, sometime its nice to surf in the site, many things to learn and to know.

We rarely remove or close topics unless the discussion went to the wrong direction and created a misunderstanding ... One day when you have too many stars under your name, you will use this subject as an example when a newbie ask you for an upgrade
