Nissan Patrol VS 170 Ton Plane - New Guinness Record - UAE

As some of you know, I work with the advertising agency TBWA\RAAD and our client is Nissan Middle East.
Together we launched in 2012, ‘Nissan Patrol fun’ & invited people from the Middle East region to dream up a fun that really pushes the Patrol to its limit.
The chosen fun was for Patrol to Pull a plane, but knowing the capabilities of Patrol and in order to prove that Nissan always exceeds its customer's expectations, it was decided to go for an attempt to break the world record and pull the heaviest plane ever pulled by a production car.

On 22nd of August 2013, at Sharjah International Airport, Nissan Patrol comfortably pulled the Ilyushin IL-76 with 170 tons of weight over the course of 50 meters, using a standard production vehicle.
The Hero of All Terrain, Nissan Patrol, is now the new Guinness World Record holder of “heaviest aircraft pulled by a production car”

The Patrol we used is the "Stock" LE 5.6 V8 400bhp & 560NM with no modifications other than the hook to attach to the plane's towing bar.
We added some extra weight inside the Patrol and kept the tire pressure at 40 PSI & did the real pull in front of the media, and it was AWESOME.

PS: I'm trying to propose something to be done with AD4X4, but nothing is confirmed so far.

you want a fun for Nissan Patrol? ask their driver to respect the speed limit on SZR, not to flash their light and stop driving like maniacs... this is the BIGGEST fun ever!

That is not the car, its the drivers' behavior and it happens with all big SUVs not only Patrol.

statistically, based on my daily commuting, Patrol and Lexus are the worst and more agressive drivers... not all of them, luckily... but check, you'll see...

just this morning, at the jam after SZ bridge on salam street, the 3 cars that were overtaking on the left shoulder pushing and flashing while everybody was stopped and could not go anywhere were Patrol, lexus, and lexus... just saying...
