No that would have been too much to ask for but hopefully there is a solution coming up (wishing)

Hi Eric,
I asked and got some half reliable information: At Mall of the Emirates the parking is metered.
At Bur Juman Mall (closer to airport. I do not know it myself) and at Ibn Battuta Mall parking
should be free. From these places it should not be too difficult to catch a taxi.
Still hope you find a better possibility yet.

Hi Eric,
I think Islam's idea is best, finding a free parking near the airport and taking a taxi to the airport.
Our Dubai office is located near the dubai airport, nearly 3 min. by taxi, the parking there is free, and I'll be there next week, I can look over your car, so if interested I can send you the coordinates and how to get there.

GPS Coordinates

Post by Cherokee »

Eric,
Further to our telephonic conversation & the SMS I have just sent you, please see below the GPS Coordinates for the Four Points by Sheraton Sh. Zayed Road hotel.
Hotel: N 25 12'50.25"; E 55 16'34.16"
Hotel Multi - story parking: N 25 12'52.14"; E 55 16'29.78"

You can use either of the above as the first one will lead you to the front of the hotel & the other towards the back where the entrance to the parking is located.
Please give me your car's licience plate number so that I can inform the hotel security to expect you & allow you to park. Should you need any further assistance, please feel free to give me a shout.

Cheers,
Cherokee

I am overwhelmed by the support and kindness from the family. Thanks a lot for all options. I have kindly accepted that the option (Bruce / Cherokee) where I can park at Sheraton covered parking is the easiest solution and the most convenient for everybody.

I appreciate JC / Sukilala´s offer but you guys know that I will help you in case you need help with a possible move in the future. Thanks also to Wasif, Extreme and all the others who offered me a very good solution. I hope I am able to pay the kindness back when you need help.

Erik, dont make such a general statement like that, be a bit more specific with the magnitude of the kindness u will be willing to repay with. For example, "Erik I need some help digging a hole, well its a swimming pool and the only equipment I have is a spoon!!!!!"

Have a safe trip my friend, the sand is going to miss you

I dont make any statements as I am open to all "paybacks". As long as I am provided with cold drinks (you know which type I am talking about) I will keep working hard :cheers1:
