BBQ places close to Abu Dhabi

I am planning to go to BBQ with some friends this weekend.
But since they have no off-road experience and not the right cars for that, I am looking for an easy spot that can be reached without problems with a normal AWD not too far from Abu Dhabi, which is still a nice spot "in the desert".

Any suggestions?

best place to go is in Khatim for such a case and park near the asphalt, or drive down the gatch road a bit

Hi Jorg, I think we are in the same trip this Friday I have one or two khatim campsites, near to road or gatch tracks, in my gps that I can share if you like, maybe one or two near sweihan as well
