Perseid Meteor Shower - Fri 12 August 2016

Below is the link to this event which is taking place across our skies on Friday evening, how very convenient for us off-roaders.

Be mindful that if you do go out to see this that you make sure you are in a group if you venture into the dunes before nightfall.

I saw this several years ago in sweihan desert and it was worth it for sure. some were tiny, others burnt bright in the sky. Take a good mat and lie on the sand looking up.

Not sure if i will have energy after two drives on friday, but may stay to watch the night time show.

Is it Friday night or Thursday night? the article is a bit confusing - 12th August and 1-4am..
