Stand alone GPS is a requirement for higher grades. However, some members are using Motion X app also.

Hi, AMIT in TCA is the official supplier of garmin products. The montana series is favoured. I believe they have some new products as well.

I am using a standalone Garmin Glo 2 GPS receiver paired with my Ipad running gaia gps app and has served me well.
