Hello everybody,

after few years in Abu Dhabi and a growing passion in desert driving I finally decided to buy a jeep wrangler and to join your club, indicated by some friend as the best in Abu Dhabi!

Now I will get the car next week but the big question is...what insurance will really cover the desert driving in case of any issue ? I went through many of them and the limitations I saw are quite restrictive and basically if something happen the insurance will always find the way not to pay anything (there are exclusions on distance from paved roads, if participating in leisure activity?!?, other recreational driving ?!? desert events, dune bashing, etc. etc).

Is there any recent experience anyone of you can share in terms of a serious insurance provider not only when you stipulate the policy but in real if you ever need to raise a claim for desert related issues? Which is based on your experience the best offroad insurance in terms of full coverage without unnecessary restrictions?

Hi Bro,

I had the same discussion with one of our marshals and he told me in oman insurance they have this thing called platinum or titanium offroad coverage.

i guess only oman, RSA and axa covers them.
