Hi Everyone,
due to Covid it's been nearly 5 years since my last trips to Liwa, this most lovely desert. I'm planning a desert camping there, but looking at the satellite pics, it seems even more Oil & gas facilities have sprung up and Qasr Al Sarab has expanded its area with even more fencing. I used to have a nice location near Hameem in the exit to the Al Jaber Shah camp, but again I see new fences from Qasr Al Sarab it seems. Anyone have tips which area to focus on when looking for a campsite? Moderate fun level needed to get there.

Sadly I don't have an answer for you, but I am also planning a family trip to Liwa the UAE long weekend, and want to enter around Qasr Al Sarab, and use an access road to get into the desert "easily".
Did you manage to get an answer, or did you do your trip to learn yourself?
