AD4x4 through INTA NETT search ... and then I started noticing the stickers on some 4x4s in Abu DhabiCybershot wrote:Yes, it as an crazy trip! Something between Advanced ++ and Extreme!iguana wrote:I was there in this roll over tripCybershot wrote:I rolled over in Liwa with Chuck.....(as passinger)

huh ... guys rolling over is not funny at all ... did it twice and did not like it.
Although the second time it was super smooth no damage to the Jeep ... just the hard top cracked ... I was so pissed that I could not give in and continued the liwa trip for another 5-6 hours with the gang
(I think I got cured from the first older roll over block/shock because I actually enjoyed the trip afterwards)
for several months clean now

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to see AD4X4.com and read all about the club on Wikipedia?
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!

Re: Where did you hear about AD4x4?
Astroburn - I am working on it! It's one of my holiday things to do over the next week or so, it will then need SC approval and once I get that, then I will post. It's in rough draft, but needs polishing and then the SC route. So watch this space. Also, thought you said you wanted to contribute some text? If that's still the case, then please email it to me asap.Astroburn wrote:Wouldn't it be nice to be able to see AD4X4.com and read all about the club on Wikipedia?
Whilst I think Wiki is great, I prefer more media and personal exposure - so local radio who I am talking with, the already published articles etc as well as raising our profiles within our own companies and friends/family circles. I managed to get two friends out on the ANIT a couple of weeks ago and both loved it.
So if you love it, talk about and encourage friends to come to an ANIT.

Re: Where did you hear about AD4x4?
I got aware of the club via chuck and cybershot.
Now I am owning a 4x4 and I joined. After two weeks of owning the car I participated on Vikings fairwell drive.
Was a hell of fun, and I got good advices from my passanger cybershot. Can't wait to join the next trip.

The power of social media - nice work AD4x4! Either i.m getting old or its not as easy as it could be to find the trip announcements. Loving the club though, any one fancy a LIWA epic fun?

Ready for camping and 4x4 at a moments notice!
More snatch straps than I really need, but you don't want to be stuck next to someone you are pulling out!

Wiki said:
Another option would be renting/buying a 4x4 and joining the many growing 4x4 clubs in the UAE. Most popular off them is the UAE 4x4 offroad club AKA AD4x4 that offers a free learning experience for all newcomers. The club consists of all nationalities and is currently active with over 2000 members and schedule trips weekly to suit all levels of driving skills.
