Thanks all !

First feed back (yesterday afternoon and today in the morning) :
strange ... I have noticed my AC to blow cooler ... ?!? ( I can imagine the AC lines in the engine bay are less baked now)

other than that ... I have to check at noon ... where the engine used to become sluggish while city driving.
and I have to check my IAT temp readings ... scangaugeII is on the way.

BTW : it for sure is not for engine temps ... the engine is WATER cooled ... more on that in another part

The Louvers mod is for lines/wires, injectors, fuel rail temps ... Intake air temps (a bit) ...

think about it THIS way:
you can keep the heat INSIDE the engine bay and grill your injectors and fuel rail OR

you let the heat out.
(But I wont't let you put your sausages on my hood  )

Thanks!
Why wouldn't they pass Muroor? Because of the colour??? (this can be fixed)
btw my grille has some brushed aluminium , my hood latches are steel and my rims are polished alloy ... and my roof is black, my fender flares as well ... I think as long as you can call my TJ "blue" it is OK
I have seen several JK in the club with the big fake plastic louver on the hood ... was never a problem at muroor.

on the next trip I will take some more poser shots ... (my TJ is too high to take good shots standing on street level in front of it 8-) )

and re your idea: when you were asking about louvers mine were on the way from 4wd already

and off topic 1 : did you notice MY billet aluminium delta light tabs at windshield frame  with MY KC LZR 18W led lights ... hehehe
off topic 2 : regarding engine mods I have found a recipe which gives me moderate V8 torque and HP (see magnum 5.2/5.9 numbers) and is cheap(!), street legal and reliable!!! (and no pcm, dash cluster and wiring PIA) : from http://www.jeep4.0performance.4mg.com/stroker.html (dinostrokers home page)

"
4.6L "poor man's" stroker

Jeep 4.2L 3.895" stroke crank
Jeep 4.2L 5.875" rods
Sealed Power 677CP +0.020" bore pistons
9.25:1 CR
Stock 4.0 HO camshaft
Ported HO 1.91"/1.50" cylinder head
Mopar/Victor 0.043" head gasket
0.088" quench height
Ford 24lb/hr injectors with stock 39psi FPR for '87-'95 engines, Accel 24lb/hr injectors with stock 49psi FPR for '96 and later engines
248hp @ 4900rpm, 306lbft @ 3500rpm

Modified "poor man's" stroker

Same as above except Jeep 4.0L 6.125" rods, Keith Black UEM-IC944-020 pistons, and 0.070" quench height "

should be OK with my 42 RLE auto tranny (with super cooler) ... the crank I already have  (and 62mm TB) all I still need is KB944-20 pistons with rods, the bearings, the gaskets and the injectors ... all in all around USD 1500 (WITH crank shaft) plus labour.
I LOVE the idea of keeping my stock cam, lifters, springs and the stock push rods. smooth idle and no valve train noise at all and super flat torque starting from 1500 rpms ... exactly what I need for not bogging down when the tranny is in 2 hi  :ugeek:

aannnd : today I got my G2 front and rear chromoly axles with big u-joints (same as rubicon u-joints) ... and some more goodies 8-)

Regarding Muroor, they will consider it as a "body kit!!"

anyway, if you passed then I will soon will follow !!

Image

Regarding the many other stuff .. !!

Man, how can you order all of this? it will cost of shipping them will be almost as much as buying them .. :?

On the other hand, cool stuff !! 8-)

I'm thinking about buying a ready build 4.7L engine. 8-) Provided of course that I have a cheap method of shipping it from the stats. :?

But my current engine is still running strong and I'm pretty newb when it comes to driving in sand so those plans will come later (Maybe next summer!).
