Congrats! I have been following this post (lurking) with great interest. It reads like a saga, punctuated with encouragement from the AD4x4 crew! Must be a big relief to get it done. You deserve every bit of enjoyment that I am sure you will get from the beast.

Mabrook again!

Thanks All!

Your encouragement and good wishes mean a lot!

Now sluggy has to undergo some desert break in ... SEASON I AM COMING

(hopefully not much shake down left to do ;) )

BTW: another update
I managed to get hold of a stock Holden "Commodore" tune (Chevrolet Caprice) ... it turned out that the previous owner had tempered alot with fuel and ignition/spark timing (leaned out!) besides some shifting mods.

Changed everything back to stock (plus needed mods for O2, security, tire/gear adaptation), reflashed the PCM ... and now the torque management is much more friendly while shifting into 2nd (still kinda abrupt, but less than before  ) ... and most importantly the engine idles and accelerates much smoother and less aggressive!
STILL PLENTY of POWER    (but seemingly with less effort/easier!) YEAH!

this is a great news Chafik. Now when are you going to the sand?

re. the registration, i'm sure you went through because you cleaned your car before...

and i'm sure i will fail this year because of a sticker....

SAND is this weekend! (Liwa with Mood)

Well ... I had my TJ washed on Sunday ... but Monday there was this sandstorm, so no big difference when I went to the test

Re stickers: I always have my ad4x4 small stickers on the sides plus two offroad evo skulls plus jeepforum.com on the windshield ... in total 5(!) stickers ... no biggie at all!
I had all of my 6 LED light canons removed/unscrewed before I went there ... fortunately all my cabling is with plugs near the lights

yes, registration is due for 30th october for me... so i have to do the followings:
- clean the car
- remove HID light from bumper (also connection near, so it's fast)
- install from bumper corner,
- change windscreen which has a major crack (i think it's a no go for Murror)
- take a shower...

and then it should go smoothly...

enjoy liwa.

well ... well ... due to a chanhe of plans I had to accept a friends invitation for friday afternoon in SHJ ... therefor NO Liwa for me this time ...

Instead I had a wonderful morning in Sweihan with DH and WaqMaster and loots of members itching for some fun ... aaaaand of course Sluggy, ready for some pre action testing in the dunes 8-)

It went beyond testing ... since I joined waqmasters second group with all the adrenaline addicted above newbies

In short : Sluggy was
... woooaah ... unleashed

Only "small issue" found was that I need a powersteering fluid cooler as well.
After some ambitious play Sluggy neede a 5 min cool down to regain power in my power steering ... no leaks or whatsover. Just some hot oil ...

Oh did I mention I spent the whole day with A/C ON ( IN A TJ) enjoying the new capabilities ?

Engine temp stayed around 210*F ... yesss

more to come!

I dont know exactly why but even in NIsaan V8 swaps , if a steering pump oil cooler is not fitted , many have noticed that the pump leaks and fails after some time.

Good luck bro

Mabrook Chafik. Great job with your engine swap and I'm glad you can enjoy it now that you've worked out all the bugs. As with Frankie, persistence eventually pays off.
The 1994-2004 Ford Mustang comes with a PS fluid cooler as standard so you could search for one in the junkyards.
