Merci beaucoup Christophe. Your own Mustang looks great. Saw the pics in the EMC forum (I'm posting there as Bullitt).

Thought I had a deal last week but it fell through 'cause the buyer couldn't come up with the dinero. :(
One consolation is that the AC is blowing nice & cold so I don't have to drive around with the windows open anymore. 8-)
Got some better pictures too.

Luckily I didn't have to wait long 'cause another buyer came along and today I finally sold the car for 10K AED. Woohoo! :D Check out the conclusion at the bottom of this page:

Now I'm also gonna try to sell my other Mustang!

The story doesn't end there. Ten days later (20th) I sold my other modded green 1995 Mustang GT for 12k AED for a total of 22k AED from the sale of both Mustangs. I only stayed Stangless for 6 days though 'cause for 39k AED I traded up to this little 2006 beauty with my favoured manual gearbox. It's so much more fun to drive and the soundtrack from the engine is to die for:

Dino,

You are a glutton for punishment. Are you trying to emulate Mike again? - Working your way up from a banger to a supercar?? :D

Yep, you could say that except that in my case, I needed to add to my kitty to trade up. :D
My old green Mustang already had near-supercar performance but that was only after I'd heavily modified it. The new Mustang is even quicker but it's still bone stock, so after I've done some upgrades (already ordered a JLT series 3 cold air intake & SCT Xcalibrator 3 tuner from Brenspeed) it'll really fly.

Dino,

You don't happen to have the SCT 9550 for the Jeep do you?

Nope. Doesn't work on my OBD 1 engine management system.

Yeah, If I only added the purchase price of the car plus parts as Mike does, I'd be at just over 10k AED and have a reasonable chance of breaking even. However I also have to factor in labour costs, vehicle inspection, registration (change of ownership), and insurance so I'm set to make a loss whatever happens.
Like you said, it's not as easy in the real world as Mike makes it look.
The TV programme is not always 100% truthful, either. A friend of mine bought the 1960s Camaro that they sold over here and he told me that he paid quite a lot less than Brewer said they got for it. Remember, Brewer's a car dealer so you should assume that everything he says is false until proven otherwise!

Nice project Dino! As always very interesting to follow your write ups.
Think you definitely deserve the title of wheeler dealer master mechanic!

I agree. I would love to take my car to Ed's garage. His labor rates are amazing

Well, I didn't sit on my laurels for long 'cause I've already done some performance mods to my 2006 GT and it really flies now:

JLT Series 3 CAI & SCT X3 tuner
DIY charge motion delete plates
Steeda underdrive pulleys
Brenspeed 91 octane tune
Raised rev limiter to 6500rpm

Also added BMR tubular rear lower control arms & relocation brackets just a week ago for better traction.

In the meantime, Mehran fixed the clutch problem on my Jeep and the AC is working again. :D

Nice! But it sounds more like Monkey Garage (Fast 'n Loud) than Wheeler Dealer!

My A/C compressor failed last month... the decision on paying $$ to replace it didn't take too long
