Today, I ordered the following:
- Full rubbers and Seals kit
- Perforated headliner
- New sun visors
- New middle mirror with light
- Retro Radio (Old style) with Antenna and speakers
- All the badges and Embelems
- Desk Brake conversion kit with 2" lowering
- Porsche pattern polished rims

I think this will be my last order ... Shall PI put a Performance Exhaust to give some power and noise to attract some ears? Or keep the car as classic stock?

Body is now fully restored and painted ..Suspension Done, Now started to do the Electricity, preparing the Engine bay for the new Engine ..

Next step will be the roof and the Interior ... Then I am finished

I will try to get some pictures as you know the car is in Egypt

After this, I will start my oldsmobile 1952 convertible , then go for the Pontiac lemans 1963 convertible (Which I might bring here for restoration) and finally the Fiat 1500 convertible  I think by then I will become the restoration Expert ... If some one is restoring a classic car or want to restore one, I am ready to help
WOOOOOW ! Beetle, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Fiat !
Islam, are you going to open a car museum ?

lowered beetle with porsche style wheels? seems to call for a "performance exhaust"
But how will a 1700 boxer flat 4 engine sound with a "performance exhaust"? Actually I like the original VW whistle and breathe sound !

Where do you have the space ? At home in Egypt ? Lucky man then !
By the way the second video shows the situation where you can
hold the steering wheel locked in one position and steer actually with
the accelerator. The difficulty is to handle the way out at the end
when the steering is passed back to the steering wheel and it is
extremely easy to oversteer and turn to the right too abruptly
when releasing the accelerator quickly.

No Fox .. I am not keeping them at home .. I don't have space for all these cars  They are all kept at a storage place where they can be safe  .. The beetle is at the Mechanic's garage

The spenning technique reminds me with th eold days when I was 18 8-) ... Easy way to get out of it is just to slow down and concentrate on the exit

Update ..
- Body work - Done
- Paint work - Done, I choose a special beige/yellow color with black top
- Most of the car is now assymbled

I am waiting for the car to be fully assymbled to make my final order (If I still need more items) and order a performance exhaust.

Hi Islam
Great choice. My first car was a beetle 1967. My 2nd car an FJ 2012 ! I miss my Beetle. Beetles are special and still look amazing after all the years on the catwalk. Long life to you Beetle :-)

Thanks Abdulaqadir. I will try to bring it to UAE once finished :D

Denise, my 6th car (out of 17) was a beetle as well, I had it in 1989, since then I got the beetle bug ;)

After completing this project, I have another Oldsmobile Rocket 88 1952 convertible to make and then will go for another beetle, a performance beetle - A Porsche Beetle like this one:
