Hi Guys,
Why is it that when I send a PM it sits in the Outbox for hours and sometimes even a day or so, even if it has just text with no attached file it seems to get stuck in the outbox. Am I doing something wrong

No you are not doing any thing wrong, when you send PM to some one it will be in outbox untill the person you sens it to open/read it then you will find it in the send items

Ahhhh ok, I was expecting it to work like e-mail where once you hit the send button if message is sent successfully then it goes in sent, and outbox is for sent messages but not yet transmitted to recipient.
