Maybe because I am new, but i am loosing posts here. They are supposed to be moderated but some of them never show up, or take forever to post.....
is this normal?

It will go away once you got your first star. We all agree it is somehow embarrasing, but you have no idea what kind of people sometimes register an account and what they are posting then
