Dear All. I am driving with my friendss Pajero (2011) but the car gets power cut off on some more serious off roads. I turned off the track control. I was advised to hold it longer to turn of the TRC as well, but still, when the car climbs up, I feell like its loosing some power. Can someone advise me please? I am planning to buy Pajero but if this is going to like this and if there is no solution, I would go for other car.
I would appreciate your help.
All the best

Hi,

If your car have rear differential lock then use it along with the traction control. This will disable the ABS, TC and airbags.

PS, R/D Lock works only on H and L 4x4 mode.

It might help

Driving in 4LLC will normally disable abs and traction control in the pajero (drive in 3rd and 4th gear) but you would need to adhere to the manufacturers speed limit for low ratio.

Removing the ABS fuse while in the desert is another option and that should be the same fuse as traction control - that will allow you to drive in 4Hi or 4HLC.

I don't think any newer model pajeros have a rear diff lock as factory equipment.

Hi Ray,

I have the 2015 Pajero SWB. It is equipped with RD lock factory default!
