FJ Xtreme or TRD

Hi All,

I have a friend hesitating between an FJ Xtreme and TRD to drive in the desert. Any thoughts which one is better ?

I would recommend the stock one, but between the two the Xtreme

Same engine same car just different suspensions... TRD suspesion to laugh with Xtreme has Fox stage 1...

I agree with Firas! Advise your friend to get the stock one, modify it to his liking if he thinks he needs to, still will be paying less than these two models are worth..

Agreed on stock model and he can install much better suspensions and mods
Only issue is the engine safety shutter toyota installed since mid 2015
I would advise 2014 model to ensure you can drive at high rpm when required

Also one thing to remember is if he gets the Xtreme he will have even less visibility than the stock one due to the additional air intake.

I think that is more a feature of the level of spec, GXR etc.

The stock comes with two models GXR and VXR both with dif and in 2014 only VXR comes with A-trc (except mine) and in 2016 All come with both I guess

I would recommend the stock one. But nor TRD at all .
I have it 2015 . Very expensive and suspension is very bad.
