Iguana, great site.

I think it should be 1990, Wrangler, 4.2 L, Engine, Crankshaft. Dont forget, you need the connecting rods as well !

I will check with Dino if this is the correct crankshaft, just to be sure.

Any crankshaft from a '72-'90 258ci (4.2L) inline-six AMC/Jeep engine can be used to build a stroker out of a Jeep 4.0L engine. Most people building budget strokers also use the connecting rods from the 4.2L engine together with the pistons from a 4.0L engine (stock size or overbored), though some opt to use the 4.0L connecting rods and custom forged pistons. The workshop looks great. The guys really seems to know what they are doing.

He told me that he can build a 4.7L stroker for me in 3 weeks and will cost around AED 13K

GUYS, i can do all this work in my workshop i have a good contact at Al Jaber for the boaring and testing, they are the only company i know that has a precision facility for this, we use them occasionaly for Mercedes AMG modifications. so send me the car and the parts and i'll give you back a strocked engine, due to extra heat build up i would recommend only a minimal stroke i.e to 4.5 max 4.7 dont go to 5 unless you want to spend serious money on specialist cooling gear.

so who's first! :P

I just come back from a short visit at 7 Performance. Here you see the status of the engine yesterday.

First they dismantled the crankshaft and cleaned everything perfectly. As you can see, they even painted the block because it did not look that nice.

I did not tell them to do so, amazing this guys. Now it looks like new. :D

This is the status today. You can see that they finished already to fix the crankshaft, the pistons, the oilpump and started with the timing gear as well.

Also the Head is already assembled and ready to be installed.

Unfortunatly i bought the "wrong" camshaft ( 99 Model instead of 94 ) which is not fitting to my old Sprocket.
But nothing serious what can not be fixed. :D

I quickly went to Al Jallaf and bought a new Sprocket for 150 DRH. The screw which is holding the Sprocket in place on the camshaft they did not have on stock.

But also this problem can be solved easily. I will buy a screw with the wright thread and let my turning shop drill one hole in the center which is for a spring and a small Pin.

The left "wheel" on the picture is the new Sprocket. As you can see the screw in the center is missing.

Hey Uwe,

It's nice to see my old engine being put to good use  and I'm sure you're excited about getting it finished. I felt the same way when I built mine back in June 2004; 61000km later and I still get goosebumps when I step on the gas. You'll adore yours too when you have it running in your Jeep.
