Jeep Stroker 4,6 L Build up
Posted: Sat Nov 25, 2006 3:37 pm
Hi Guys,
If you are a proud owner of a 4,0 L Jeep ( Wrangler, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee ) you are probably satisfied with the power of your engine already.
If not, you can get much more power out of your stock engine when you install a Stroker ( either as a ready made Kit or from Junkyard parts ). If you are planning to overhaul your engine anyway, why not build up a Stroker ?
What means Stroker ?
It means that you enlarge your engines stroke with another crankshaft ( commonly the 4,2 L Jeep 258 Crankshaft ) . With other pistons you increase the volume of your engine too. Stroker engines build out of the 4,0 L block and can range from 4,5 L to max 5,0 L .
Below you can see all the options ( datas are from Dr. Dino Savva' s Stroker website )
