Re: Wanted 3.5
Wait, don't you already have that amount of lift ? Or you don't like your current setup ?
I thought that you had that much because you are running 35" tires....

Wanted 3.5" - 4.5" TJ lift kit
Actually i have 2.5" spring lift kit and 1" body. I do have 35" tyres but they still rub on the body sometimes when offroading so i recon 1 - 2 inches more should be alright. Plus i always felt the rear part of my car is a bit lower than the front, although whoever i ask thinks otherwise. So im hoping that the new lift kit would look better to me atleast.

Re: Wanted 3.5
My recommendation : do not go higher with a suspension lift!
You can fit 35" tires easily with your 2.5" susp and 1" BL IF you highline your metal fenders.
Ossme is going to do a AEV highline...
There is a DIY way as well ... much cheaper and Muroor compatible
(no frame mods, you can still use aftermarket 7" fender flares to cover your tires completely, cheap)
It will lift the fenders (only) about 3" from their stock position without rising your center of gravity!
I have the PDF version of the Higherground4x4 DIY fender highline instructions ... the problem : 33 MB (lots of pics!)
Or you can go wit Metal cloak if you don't need Muroor approval
(Ranger has them here in Abu Dhabi!)

Metal cloaking does not seem like a solution, i already have bushwacker flat fender flares but the tire rubs the edges of the fender itself. If i understand it correctly, cloacking only adds support? Not clearance?

I know ... your tires rub at the upper metal edge of the original fenders.khoory wrote:Metal cloaking does not seem like a solution, i already have bushwacker flat fender flares but the tire rubs the edges of the fender itself. The Metalcloaks ADD clearance because the upper edge is now at a different (more inwards) location and are arched upwards above the tire where previously your original edge was. Bu as I said ... Muroor might complain , because even their optional 6" fender flares expose too much above the tire (because of their tapered shape)! They look cool though
The DIY highline (instructions 33 MB) in fact move the whole fenders 3" up ! ...
I could not attach the instructions to my post here.
I will PM you ...
EDIT: PM sent

Re: Wanted 3.5
our local AEV in the UAE is not related in any way to the original US company http://www.aev-conversions.com/ ... fortunately!!!khoory wrote:Thanks for the suggestions and nice pics. How much will it cost to do at AEV?
(here they are using just a name very close to the US one )
the kit ossme will get from Ranger (the local US AEV agent!) is from the US guys and a simple bot on job! (well the metal come black primed ... so paint job as well). Ranger has a workshop as well

Re: Wanted 3.5
Our local AEV is called Advanced Expedition Vehicles.
The REAL AEV, American Expedition Vehicles, is an extremely reputable American company. It is one of the best in the Market. I'm planning to buy the AEV high line kit from Ranger. Ranger Haven't given me a price yet but he promised me that it's going to be competitive one.
