I'm sure the others are now suitably jealous and ready to join us!!!
Dear Freespirit,
I have been into several wadi/mountain trips and I know myself well enough and I can't see myself driving there anymore. I personally don't consider such trips as offroading. At the end of the day this is just MY personal preference and the club is general 4x4 club covering all available terrains in the UAE and has to meet the expectations of all our valuable members, that's why we have marshals to cater to various types of trips.
I am glad that everybody is enjoying the wadi/mountain trips as much as other members enjoy dune bashing. Diver is one exception marshal who enjoys both types of trips.
Khaiwi- no offence intended 8O 8O. I love doing both
Mpenzi wrote:khawi sorry Chief but what is then the off-roading??????
I think you need both world to enjoy the off-roading.
No offence my dear, but such trips don't even need to engage 4wd and its mainly sight seeing and enjoying the nature rather than driving offroad. driving on the beach, gravel and anyplace with no tarmac can be called offroad too.
So, what am tryin to say is that "my understanding" to offroad is driving where un-equiped vehicles will never make it. You are a marshal who have seen desert and mountains and have your own preference and liking which will be respected.
Anyway, what matters is that we are all enjoying the club and go together.
Did 650 Off Road trips so far (26- Jun-2022) and counting
Proud to be AD4x4 Marshal.......
Oooooohhhhhh Diver 8O 8O , thanks for refreshing our memories with these wonderful photos; we should do it again & again .............................................................& again this season with the rest of AD4x4 members including our Chief Marshal as he mentioned ISA :together:

But we have done a lot of off-roading on these trips. That one Wadi I had to drive over big rocks no non-4x4 would ever do. With Mpenzi you never know where he takes us. Sometimes we have to turn around because there is not even an off-road anymore 8O 8O
Man, Karim this is a great thread with impressive pics!!
It gets time for me to see this places and i think it is a big advantage for AD4X4, to have guys like you, Mpenzi and all the other experienced persons with us.

I think that was an Exploration trip that I did not even had the GPS coordinates. We hit the dead end but before that we found a bid Dam with a lot of water. But at the end we end up in khor Kalba beach and it was a good drive after all.
This year we are going to do an expolaration trip in some new wadis and expect the same.
Huge mountains , Fences and dead ends.
