Hi All.
I'm just doing the research before I commit to buying a 2006 prado V6 to potentially replace our 2009 GC 5.7 Overland. My biggest concern is the step back in both power and 'toys' in going to the prado and so am looking at the options for supercharging. Are there any owners on here who have supercharged prados? Has anyone heard of a turbo kit for them?
Thanks,
Any forced induction prado owners?

Re: Any forced induction prado owners?
Hi,
I drive a 2007 Prado (stock) which has taken me from Newbie to Marshall without the need for extra power ... the standard engine is reliable and my concern with turbo charging / super charging would be keeping the engine temperature down especially in summer .

I hear what you're saying iqsaan, but I'm a petrolhead at heart and the difference in power and torque on the road between the hemi and the V6 is the problem. I know I don't 'need' the power, but it's very nice to have it!
Dave - did you have the kit fitted yourself, or buy the LC with it already installed?

I had a 5.7 HEMI Grand Cherokee 2006 and changed it with Prado swb 2005 V6. I can tell you clearly that Prado is more reliable and having excellent power (due to V6 is on swb body) and simply it takes me everywhere with almost zero issues.
In my opinion, no need for turbo kit (unless you are planning to go racing)

Re: Any forced induction prado owners?
Some good feedback, thanks. I'm a petrolhead at heart though and so it'd not a case of do I need the extra power, more I'd like to have it. The difference in torque and power between the hemi and the V6, let alone the V8 burble etc is my concern. I'm torn about which way to go - the Prado will be more reliable for sure, but the GC is newer, has more useful day to day toys and faster.... hmmmm
