Michael (EmDoc) kindly offered to lead a second convoy since we had about 16 people signed up. Despite his car waiting for a recovery truck after the morning trip, EmDoc still showed up and bribed Jean to let him borrow his Jeep and lead anyway. EmDoc will post a separate report inshallah.
Our convoy order was
- Flaghunter (lead)
- Wallus (second lead)
- a3assem
- davorindd
- Khdour
- Koona
- ghost rider (sweeper)
We played 1-2 km east of the gatch in smaller dunes the whole time, covering a total of 33km. The start was pure newbie track where we practiced a lot of straight cresting with plenty of second and third tries and some stucks in the soft sand. We took frequent breaks as there were quite a lot of kids who needed to enjoy the unlimited sandbox. Towards the end of the trip, after a long break and nice chitchat, we spiced things up a bit with very easy side slopes because all the drivers did very well and improved significantly, even on this single trip.
We reached inflation point again around 5:30pm. Everybody enjoyed and learned some new skills. Thank you very much Zak for your support and excellent instructions as always. And thank you everybody for a fun afternoon. Till next time!
