I went to Oman several times. You need nothing from the bank or muror. The only advices can give you is;

1- check with embassy if you can get the visa at the boarders (recently they restrict some).
2- all the time refuel your petrol. Petrol station are a way from each one.
Are you going to Salalah or Muscat?
Enjoy and have fun

Hi Scorpio, We drive between Dubai and Oman regularly. Most of our colleagues are correct normally there are little issues. However if the car is not registered in you name (the one in the passport) then there can be a complication. So what do you need:

Car insurance for the period you are in Oman
If the car is not registered in your name, you need a no objection letter from the registered owner to take the car to Oman
35 AED for the exit if you are not Emiratie or Omanie
Credit card to pay the Oman entry visa if you are not Emiratie or Omanie

There are many crossings but I would recommend you avoid Al Buraimi, it can be very busy and difficult is you are not Emiratie or Omanie.

If you would like to call me and discuss that is fine.

Make sure you stay full of fuel. I have heard horror story's about the petrol stations running out of fuel on the Nizwa - Salalah road during Eid times. I have spent a lot of time traveling from Nizwa down thru Qurn Alam.

Drive Safe!
