I have very good experience with AXA. The premium is reduced each year with the age of the car. I have included Oman. Towing in case of any trouble is arranged by them.

DONT use AXA

Despite their policy of non refund or transfer policy
In case you had an accident whether it's your mistake or not, the funny thing
Is they refused to renew my policy unless to third party only because I had an accident
Which costed them 14k  as they said

So with AXA you have to ONLY pay them

I've paid 2.3٪ only where I have no clams for few years ..

Prices are not fix because of there experience with offroading but still they are giving us that option ...

Had same issue with a road car of ours - only give 3rd party because they paid out on a claim for it...it was an Audi injury  but then they seem to forget to return my premium when i have no accident

But with Hummer they paid out and full reinsurance again no problem....still there :)
Jeeps with RSA..

So seems AXA or RSA

Good luck..

If you are going down the AXA/RSA route (which I recommend!) - I would suggest www.insureme.ae (give Jonah a call) - she is very helpful and was able to obtain me the same policy with RSA at a much reduced premium than going directly with RSA.

insurance question

Post by AbuPhampi »

indeed a very useful post, I just finished today reinsuring my car and decided to go for AXA motorperfect including offroad

i dealt with jonah from insureme.ae as Millhouse suggested and their service is excellent, strongly recommend them

However I just noticed AXA is adding this clause this year:

"Racing exclusion clause: Policy excludes liability arising out of usage of vehicle against racing, rallies and/or speed trials"

Does anybody know exactly what this clause really means for trips like ours? Any idea or real experiences?

insurance question

I believe it means an event with timing or a competition or fun as such. Our trips are a social activity if I am correct this is okay.

There are many other insurance companies they give Offroad insurance not very famous but they meet the purpose incase you needed and they cover as well Oman.

Best option is use a broker to get the best insurance rate & options

I had bad experience with AXA coz I had an accident record with them 4 years back and they are still consider it
