So, I got my Jeep....finally. Going next week to register and insure it. So I ask you folks. Given a starting budget of 25000 aed what mods for a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited are essential for a good desert driving experience? I don't have any mods on the jeep as most of what I had were illegal in my last country and I had to take them off and sell them. Also, if one of the members has a reputable shop and wants to do the work that would be great too. Want to keep the money in the family. So suggest away! I appreciate you input.

P.S. The jeep is US spec if that matters and it will not be returning with me when I leave the UAE.

Congrats on receiving your jeep.

My opinion would be to drive it for a few months stock just to get the hang of it on the sand, and then probably start with a 2.5” lift kit with shocks, a snorkel and a closed air intake for cleaner air to the engine.

So I have to ask what is an axel reinforcement? I mean I understand all of the words, and fundamentally understand the concept, but why an axel reinforcement?

I can barely get in the darn thing right now, can't imagine what a 3 inch lift would do. Might need a rope ladder to get inside!

Thanks for your answers.

Amp concept automatic side step with a kill switch, if you decide on the lift. I have it on my Jeep, they would suck for any rock crawling, but my wife loves them. They drop down about 6 inches when the doors open. The kill switch lets me keep them stowed when I’m out in the dunes.

Other then that I will listen to the experts on here.
