On an XJ the blower motor is fed via a relay, then via 1 of three resistors (fan speed) and then the switch.

Assuming yours is same, I would start by making sure relay is energising when IGN is turned on, then see if there is volts at the motor +ve. If so, then see if -ve side of motor is grounded (with motor switch on high speed - no resistor). If OK, then the motor is toast. But I bet it is not the motor!

Has the blower completely stopped, or is there an issue with the vents?

It could be a vacuum leak that causes the A/C vents not to open properly.
I had this on my XJ, but i think the WJ has the same system.
Western motors wanted to charge me for removing the complete dash board and checking the A/C.

Turned out there was a leak in the vacuum line running near the battery, which cost 10dhs and 1 minute to replace...

no we are talking only about the blower here... and the system is much more complicated than the XJ. All dampers are still working, the constrol pannel still working... just the blower stopped...

So the Cheshire Cat is officially LIWA rated and approved!

On the other end, it is suffering from the famous Jeep Death Wobble Disease, and will need to go to the clinic for a diagnosis...

let's talk about Death Wobble... Car was getting worth and worth, basically un drivable on gatch road and bad shaped road... So, there was no more discussion about an immediate appointment to Qaruoty clinic.

The good news is that diagnostic was mainly due to the age of the car, and the fact all the very important parts there were all worned... Also, the Steering Damper installed by Ramy when i lifted the car (RANCHO) was not only a piece of shit, but also not the right model for the car.

So, Dr Qaruoty had the following replacement done:
- front track bar,
- Steering Damper,
- front bushings
- front control arms
- rear bushing
- Ball Joint...

nice whell alignement with the brand new system installed in Qaruoty clinic (al Karmal Cars Service, aka Yokohama dealer, Musafa's in Ramy's street) and my Cheshire Cat is rejuvenated, and ready to go for 200,000km more...

conclusion, sometime the best is not to patch, but to replace! (this could also be a good advise for your wife... )

Thanks again to Dr Qaruoty, for the excellent work done, with a smile, and the extra coffee. I wish you a huge success with your workshop, you deserve it.

Good news. The steering damper will not cause 'death wobble', it just serves to hide it.
