REPORT: Newbies drive with the PHARAOH 3.1.2020
Posted: Sat Jan 04, 2020 3:17 pm
All met on time at the meeting point, ANIT & safety briefing done by our Expert irfpk (well done).
Since irfpk wanted to practice his leading & navigation skills, I gave him the lead as part lead & I was his 2nd lead while Mytommi was the official sweeper and all members where orderly in between.
We started the drive 3:00 PM on slow pace through a technical area, and had our first break 20 mins into the drive. With everyone feeling comfortable and eager for more fun, irfpk took us towards the lager dunes and throw some spices here & there. We had our second break at 4:00 PM where we chitchatted while having coffee & tea and kids went playing around.
Since everyone was enjoying the track I asked irfpk to continue leading the trip. We had couple of second tries & one stuck which was safely recovered, was a good learning opportunity.
At 5:00 PM irfpk led us back towards AD4x4 BBQ point, where we met the intermediate convoy. Some members decided to leave due to other commitments, while the rest decided to stay for a delicious BBQ.
Thank you all for joining the trip, hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
Appreciate if you can provide your feedback regarding the trip below.
Please note that pictures taken during the trip by our professional photographer Mariam are posted on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 465&type=3
See you all soon on the dunes
