Madam Desert Advance Trip Report

Half day advance trip from Al Madam thru Area53.

It was an amazing experience – a truly unforgettable mix of phenomenal landscapes, fascinating people and good adventure! I enjoyed the opportunity to lead so many wonderful people through the deserts of Al Madam.

The trip was supported by Marshal Bulldozer and Marshal tompa-bjorka. We did all sorts of driving side cresting, straight cresting, climbing massive dunes, slip faces, side sloping ditches and powder soft areas. Actual 5 hours off-road driving. Oh, and the camels were pretty entertaining, too! No single tire pop out, only one minor stuck and lots of beautiful scenes of massive dunes of the area.

There was an issue with one of the car, engine misfire caused the engine to momentarily stumble, and lose rpms, Bulldozer used his technical skills to resolve the issue and then car regain its normal engine speed.

Nothing better than a technical drive on a powder soft sand, and that what it was.

It was the first time I follow melvin's lead and it definitely won't be the last.

Track was chosen to be challenging and fun, and it was very nice to meet up with Thomas after almost a year.

Sai, Sinan, and of course big boss thank you for usual funn we had.

My jeep got an injector issue which I hope will fix today and I won't miss tomorrow for sure inshalla.

From my side a special thanks to sinan who left the convoy just to keep with me till I reached the inflation point.

Thanks Melvin for the trip, it was a good lead from you. As you said, it had all sorts of driving from very technical to the bigger more flowing dunes in the end. Also some car tech issues that were duly resolved in the field. Enjoyed it. See you soon in the sand.
