CAI... yes or no?
old topic and argument about cold air intake. but is the risk outweigh the benefit?!!
so the question here, how many of you would say no but they have one?

CAI full yes, but needs good maintenance, and regular changes if you are in the sand every week end...

Re: CAI... yes or no?
get the oil based not the dry filter
more pain to clean it but much more peace
of mind,
if you dont have a snorkel, use ladies socks to cover the filter

CAI... yes or no?
In my opinion it dose not matter what brand of CAI you have, all dry cold air intakes will allow dust in to your engine. Remove your filter and touch the inside of your intake pipe with your finger and see what happens. Oil based CAI on the other hand do a better job filtering the dust particles however they clog so fast that you have to clean them regularly.
I would personally stick to the stock filter box or add a snorkel for cleaner and colder air supply.
Cold air intakes are designed for street performance and not sand driving. My 2008 wrangler just got its 3rd engine installed by WM recently. It was clear that sand was the main cause of both engine failures.

I agree with Antrax, I know few engins break down because of CAI, but on the other hand CAI will give you nice sound and few mental horse power...I will say YES, but be careful.
