Hi guys,
I am planning to lift the height of my toyota fortuner by 2" .
I was thinking of many options such as, putting a new lift kit (ome ), spacers 20mm front and back...etc..
But last day , when i saw my car's tires drop down while it was being lifted in the lift , i was wondering what could i do to maintain that height like upto 2" and only compress a little when back on the ground...?
Then i thought its not the shocks that keep the car lifted, its the springs, so if i have stiffer springs , i could get the required lift.
But all of this was just in my mind, and i had to get some basic knowledge about changing to stiffer springs ...!
So guys, what's ur advice, does it really help to just put stiffer springs to achieve a good lift, and if so, what stiffness to get a decent 2" lift..?
Thanks ,
razeem...

Please ensure that you don’t get just stiffer springs from any suspension shop. Get a full kit from one of the reputable brands to ensure that the springs and shocks work together in harmony. Otherwise you risk blowing your shocks too soon and bad suspension compression and rebound
