So the new rule is .. You ask for an upgrade, you will be downgraded ...
Marshals, please advice me with anybody who asks for an upgrade from now onwards and he will be downgraded one notch
This rule applies only on members who want the upgrade just because they want to see stars under their name while they are not capable enough to handle more advanced trips
Thanks Watheq
Just to make it clear again, the upgrade is based on the following:
- Number of trips
- Activity on the website
- Adhering to instructions of the Marshals
- Following the rules of the trip
- Dedication to the club
- Recommendation of 4 Marshals based on their views about the driver, his skill, his confedence, his understanding to the risk involved in offroading and his control over the car on various situations.
So if you think that you have all this ask for an upgrade. Otherwise, wait and learn more it is for your safety and the safety of the others as well

I do not think anyone should ask, because if he does not have the above mentioned points he will not be upgraded; even if he asks.
just openion,
thanks

Then I will have none left so I better not ask for it. Frankly speaking I do not care if I am a Newbie or whatever. For me I find the Newbie trips fine and there are definitely still some challenges for me. And when the BBQ starts we are all a family sharing the fun. I have one suggestion though and that is when there is a stuck - use it as an instruction for us that are Newbies. Let us gather around it and discuss how it should be solved. Today it is more of all the experienced drivers rush there and the stuck is solved and those of us that need to learn are only watching from distance. Maybe if there is an easy stuck let an "experienced" Newbie do the pulling as training.
Take it or leave it but I would appreciate that and I think I would learn a lot. I fully understand that in some situations we need to act fast to avoid accidents and more problems but in most cases I have seen so far it is "just a stuck".
Maybe someone could arrange an instruction recovery daytrip so we Newbies will intentionally get stuck and recover eachother.

Well said vicking I agree with you 100%, and as you said I wish if there is any one of the marshals can take this adventure and arrange an instruction recovery daytrip for Newbies.
It's not the car, it's the driver WHO can make it.
