Prada, U didnt state what u want it for, how heavy the applications u'll be running.
Anyways here's my input.
My personnal preferences are Toshiba, had 2 of them in the passed 10 years, and both ran perfect, only changed them coz they got a bit underpowered for heavy applications. Try the Qosmio range, perfect products.
My second choice would be to get a Sony Vaio, recently bought the 'portable desktop'....wooooow what a machine. Have heard from reliable sources that the laptops are just as good.
But if u want something a little different, Mac is the way to go. The power of the thing and its Operating System is absolutely brilliant . I love it, but unfortunately cant get one myself as they all have cameras (cant take a camera to work!!!). MacBook Pro
Good luck with the decision making, its tough.

Prada it really depends on what you want this laptop for
Dell RUBBISH
Toshiba very good portable desk top but can be chunky for a laptop
SONY is my preference I have had 2 sony Laptops and have never had any complaints about them.
Mac is very good but if you have not used before Mac OS is a big learning curve
My Opinion.
Oh LEE Iread your other post I have a long memory you welsh @##@$

As you already mentioned - you had your Fujitsu Siemens for 7 years !!
My personal opinion after using Fujitsu Siemens is the same. Good quality that lasts. Had a few others but still prefer F-S.
I havent tried the Vaio so I have no opinion regarding that.
I also agree with Lee that it is all based on your requirements. Will it be used for surfing the web or are kids playing heavy games on it?
